For cashless parking, Parkmobile is unique in the market in offering two cashless products. The buy time product exactly mirrors the traditional pay and display mechanism for parking.
Parkmobile’s electronic permit system offers a fully hosted online permit application and management system. Pay by phone parking
Parkmobile’s smart parking. Parkmobile has pioneered pay by phone parking for over 10 years and is the leading provider in several markets around the globe. With pay by phone parking from Parkmobile you do not only enhance the parking service for the motorist, but you will also save on operational costs. The Scheme – Flexibility of Choice Parkmobile offers councils and car park operators the choice of two parking models. One mirrors the way pay and display machines or parking meters are used, whereby a customer buys a predetermined amount of time, such as one hour with the ability to top up if needed. The other is our unique solution known as start/stop, where motorists choose when they want their parking event to finish. This is very popular with motorists, as they only pay for the parking time that they want and from the councils viewpoint the benefit is that it can result in a longer stay as they do not have to rush back at a set time. This brings the benefits of a pay on foot system to a pay and display off or on-street environment. Setting Up - Quick & Efficient To Implement There is no capital investment required by the client to implement the Pay by Phone Parking system. Each car park or parking location will be set up with its own location number and Parkmobile will input the relevant parking tariff, time bandings and maximum stay associated with each location. Changes and amendments to the tariff structure and adding additional locations can be easily accommodated within the system at no extra cost to the client. A dedicated project manager is assigned to each implementation to ensure that the introduction of cashless parking is managed in a structured manner. Signage – Subtle & Effective To ensure that the scheme is successful Parkmobile will work in conjunction with its client to design and distribute signs that are in keeping with the environment. Promotions, posters and signage will be strategically placed to raise awareness and provide clear instruction for the cashless system. Designs will complement existing street furniture. Enforcement – Seamless Integration All parking events are stored in Parkmobiles centralised parking database. We can either integrate with your current enforcement devices, where these are GPRS enabled, or provide a feed to an ANPR driven system. Alternatively we can provide you with a robust mobile phone from which location and vehicle registration checks can be undertaken to confirm the validity of a parking event. Reporting - Tailored to Your Needs Parkmobile will provide the council with access to a web based suite of reports to enable detailed analysis of parking activities. Reports are also available to assist in reconciliation of parking revenue processed through our system. Bespoke reports can also be developed. Motorist - Stress Free Parking. Once registered motorist have a choice of either paying a small convenience charge for each transaction which suits the ad hoc user, or for regular users they can become a subscriber and pay a lower convenience charge each time they park. Parking can be activated and extended remotely by calling our automated phone line or through our help desk or via the web site. For local authorities or private operators who wish to absorb the convenience charge we can provide a solution to meet this. Motorists have their own account page on our website where they can view previous parking history, amend vehicle details and/or update payment information. Pay by Phone Parking from the driver’s perspective: 1. Park your car 2. Phone, text or App Enter the location number posted on the parking meter or nearby signs and continue on your way. 3. Buy Time or Start / Stop Either enter the duration that you want to park for in minutes or hours. Alternatively start your parking and call again when you want to Stop. 4. Payment All parking transactions with Parkmobile are charged to your preferred credit card or direct debit and receipts are available online.

Our permit management system has been developed in close collaboration with a number of local authorities and municipalities which can be tailored to your policy requirements.

This system offers the public a quick and flexible alternative to manage all their permit related matters 24/7 over the Internet. Managing different types of permits.
A wide range of parking permits can be issued and managed through our permit system, e.g. residents’ permits, business permits and including doctor’s permits. The system can be configured to any type of permit including concession permits, temporary exemptions, visitor’s permits and contractor permits. One of our client’s manages 27 different types of permit through our centralised system.
Fraud-proof electronic permits. Parkmobiles solution supports multiple permit formats including the use of digital parking permits using the vehicle registration number as the permit reference, or in the form of a RFID transponder card, or as a barcode sticker. An electronic permit is issued to the permit holder only once, any changes can then be updated onto the permit without a new permit being issued. By replacing paper permits with digital permits, you eliminate fraud, reduce costs and increase flexibility. Improve enforcement. Permits are integrated within a centralised data management system that can be easily enforced against. We are hardware agnostic and can provide data feeds to any enforcement systems, and are capable of integrating with both fixed and mobile ANPR solutions. Easy interface with other systems. Our permit system can be linked to other systems and databases within the council. For example we can validate a vehicle registration number against a resident’s permit number in the relevant databases, or even check the particulars against the council tax register. How digital parking permits work:
